Let’s Get Hopping #33 – Christmas in July

The Let’s Get Hopping Team are today bringing you Christmas in July, so a very warm welcome to this spot of warmth and cheer.

Thank  you so much for stopping by my blog today and taking the time to see my creative inspiration. I have been super excited to share some new products with you from the soon to launch, Seasonal Mini Catalogue. Tracy Bish,  has I’m sure delighted you with some fabulous inspiration and I hope to do the same.

The new catalogue had me immediately drawn to the Dove of Hope Bundle. A stamp set and die bundle that will have you creating the most stunning of Doves. For me though, I saw Angels … the wings of Angels. Team this with my favourite Christmas sentiment set, For Unto Us and I was singing carols in July.

I couldn’t resist but create this cute little hanging Christmas ornament. Our own perfect little angel. The Paper is from the Snowflake Splendor suite and the Foil, our new super shiny Brass foil. A very simple shape for an angel, with no fussiness, it came together quite quickly.

It was quite easy to echo the look of this angel in a card with some simple shapes. I predominantly wanted a soft palette, so chose to team Watercolour paper with White and Vellum. The woodgrain paper used for the head came from the In Good Taste suite of papers. I so love this sentiment, which screamed to be heat embossed gold.

The Dove Wings beautifully framed the base of the sentiment, so I decided to have them raised than lowered.
