Welcome to the Creation Station Blog Hop where today we are sharing In Colour Combinations. With a restriction to the Five new In Colors and just white, we are bringing some inspiration to you.
Sara Levin always brings some great colour combos, so I’m sure if you’ve hopped on over from her, she’ll have delighted you. I have opted for three cards to share, stepping up with each card.
This first one had me using lengths of the card stock adhered into different heights. Prior to sticking, I had stamped a subtle image using Blossoms in Bloom and Versamark to create this background.
A very simple Get Well card but an effective one that you could recreate in any colour combo. Super quick to bring together and a great one for using up scraps of cardstock or even patterned paper.
Again, using up strips of cardstock, I took inspiration for this from my son’s T-shirt. With its diagonal Retro feel stripes, I added some delicate die cut flowers with a very simple sentiment. A tiny piece of ribbon hanging beyond the matting layer, this added texture and movement.
Taking yet more strips and adhering to a matting layer, I ran this striped layer through with this fabulous new embossing folder. The subtle texture added greater interest to the background that would have otherwise been very flat.
This amazing die cut piece from the Blossoms in Bloom Bundle gave instant decoration and impact to this striped layer. The sentiments within this bundle are so useable that you really can’t go wrong with it.
Three very simple, yet effective cards that you could create very quickly and from any colour combination. I absolutely love these five new In Colours and think they work really well together.
I hope you have liked my offering of ideas today and I hope you’ll continue the hop by heading over to see what the lovely Kathy Kartak has to offer.
Thanks for hopping by today. Stay safe and happy crafting.
