The Stampin’ Sunday Team are bringing you Flowers for Every Season with their inspiration today. This fabulous new Stamp set and Punch bundle quite literally offers flowers for every season.
Loving Sunflowers as I do, I knew that I wanted to have these flowers as my focal point. The first image that I wanted to ink up however, were the flower stems. I didn’t see them as flower stems but more a stack of twigs that I wanted repeatedly stamped as a stack.
I loved the effect that the flower stems age repeatedly stamped like this and this Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon was a must for this project. The flowers were stamped with Memento Black ink and patiently coloured in using our Alcohol Marker Blends Pens. I sat and fussy cut the flowers adding a black marker edge to define the outer edge. An additional sunflower to help add further dimension was stamped and coloured in.
I made a coordinating treat pouch using some wood grain paper from the In Good Taste suite and embellished simply with a further sunflower. The contrast of dark wood and the vibrant pop of Bumblebee and yellow sang to me.
The rustic appearance that these pieces bring absolutely ticked the box for me. I love all things rustic and I feel I’ve achieved exactly that feel.
I hope you like my offering today and that I’ve made you look at the flower stems in a whole new light. Do take yourself off around the rest of the hop to see what the others have to offer. I’m sure the inspiration will be incredible.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend and stay safe.

Beautiful projects, Mikaela! I love that you have me looking at the stems in a whole new way.
Stunning MIkaela! Oh so country! And your use of the Flower stems as a twiggy look background is genius!! Xxxx
I’m totally in love with your rustic projects! Stamping those stems to create a custom border is just brilliant! Love how the flowers pop on both your projects. (That wood design is a personal favorite of mine too.) xxx
BEAUTIFUL! Love the rustic look! How is the treat pouch made?

From a square piece of patterned paper, I drew a curve using a dinner plate and cut along the line before rolling into a cone shape and adhering in place. The final tab was then adhered to create this finished shape. I hope that makes sense and you give it a go x
