We’re bringing you scrap it … a Let’s Get Hopping Challenge to create something from the scraps on your craft desk.
Something I often do, for I keep a scraps tub on my desk, is create something from leftover scraps. I think we all die-cut something, stamp something or emboss and then change our minds. Well, I’m sure Shelly Wadge has shared something quite special with her leftovers. Now let me share you what I have managed to create.
This was the contents of my little dish when I set to creating for this challenge. Several sentiment panels, labels and a few leaves, shapes and words. A few things jumped out immediately to me and so I set to work.
With Father’s Day only a week away, I created a card suitable for the Worlds Best Dad. I only had to create the embossed matting layer and card base and select my sentiment. I loved how this card came together and I loved the dark sponging to the right of the world that helped highlight the left a little.
Second card
Glancing further at the pile of scraps before me, I could see the start of a second card, so had to bring you a second card.
Ironically, there was a little pile of panels that were sat nested with this pretty Grey piece sat right in front of this Subtles matting layer. This heart was the perfect size to sit in the foreground, it just needed a cluster of flowers. I had recently cut a selection of flowers from the Many Layered Blooms die that coordinates with the Blossoms in Bloom set. The sentiment for both cards came from A Good Man. Funny how it was suitable for both.
I hope you’ve liked my share today and that you’ll consider having a little scraps dish on your desk to work from time to time.
Let’s see what the lovely Nina has to share with us and see what scraps she had left on her craft desk.
Enjoy the rest of the hop and thanks for stopping by … Stay safe.
