The Creation Station Design Team are going manly today with a “Man after my own Heart” theme. I turned to the fabulous new In Good Taste Suite to inspire my offering.
I feel certain that Dena Rekow will have already inspired us with her masculine project and I hope to also.
Taking the new Tasteful Touches stamp set I wanted to see what masculine cards I could come up with. At first, it’s easy to see the pretty script, the flower and leaves but I was drawn to the geometric image. My colour palette was governed by the man in my life who loves Blue.
Randomly stamping a geometric image down the side, in Smoky Slate, gave a fun and simple border for a simple Hello. Stampin’ Write Markers help to pick out part of a sentiment, which is what I did for this first card.
The papers in this suite are incredibly versatile. Suitable for both masculine and feminine cards, it’s very gender-neutral. I decided to die cut some random panels from various coloured cardstock to layer up a collage around the sentiment. This technique is great or using up scraps.
This last card had me using the geometric image again and randomly stamping over a navy panel. I then took the word ‘son’ from our Family Party stamp set and repeatedly stamped it to create a border. Being slightly more special, I felt this needed some silver heat embossing, which I did for both the sentiment and over the wood elements. A final splattering of Wink of Stella just added that final, subtle touch.
I really hope you liked my share with you today and that you’ll continue the hop back across the pond to my friend Elizabeth Price. She’s a talented lady who will have something incredible for us.
Thanks for hopping by today. Stay safe and happy crafting.

Wow! I love these. I really like the way you used the wood elements on the third card. I had no idea how I was going to use those little pieces.
