Today I’m sharing some positive thoughts with you and using up some pretty wooden elements.
Palliative care isn’t necessarily the occasion to offer a Get Well card, more a card offering Positive Thoughts. A calm, peaceful card that simply looks elegant and graceful seemed right and fitting for this good friend.
I love the look of Soft Sea Foam with the delicate additions of Vellum and soft whites. This first card offers a layer that I stamped across the top using tone on tone stamping and then added a layer of Heat Embossing. The Heat Embossing helps to add depth to this card.
These little wooden feathers reminded me of the trees we saw on the hilltops in Tuscany. So tall and so very beautiful. I wanted a soft background to highlight these trees, which I created using a vellum die-cut label.
Dry Embossing with the Scripty Embossing Folder gave a different kind of soft background. This helps offer texture and interest in an understated way.
Aren’t these wood elements just beautiful?! I found them in my crafty stash from a while back and I couldn’t see them go to waste. Making use of them on such delicate cards pleased me no end and I look forward to the new wood elements coming in the new Annual Catalogue.
I hope you like them too.
