The One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop team is bringing you Manly creations this month. A theme that many find difficult, so we hope to share plenty of inspiration.
Welcome to this month’s hop with a manly theme and I’ve pulled from the Sailing Home Stamp Set and Die Bundle.
With the Lined Alphabet Letters sadly retiring, I felt compelled to give them an outing. This was nothing that I’d set out to create but I still loved the outcome. A simple greetings card to say hello to a male friend.
By Heat Embossing the lighthouse white on watercolour paper it allowed me to give a gentle wash of colour to soften the image behind the words. There are dies available for these lined letters but I sat quietly fussy cutting and really enjoyed it.
Teaming up my much-loved Label Me Bold stamp set with this sat perfectly and allowed me to cover the centre of the A which I wasn’t looking forward to fussy cutting.
Adding layers and texture helps to add interest and movement to a card. This style of card is perfect for using up scraps too.
A simple little gift box decorated with a similar theme accompanied this card and was embellished with a Gold Foil anchor. This tied in nicely with the gold foil ships wheel on the card. These papers are just so beautiful that you’ll want to stock up before they’re gone.
Well, I hope you’ve enjoyed my share today and I hope you’ll take a look at the rest of the hop for yet more manly inspiration.
Enjoy!
