Stampin’ Sunday – Welcome Easter Chick

April 12, 2020 by Mikaela Titheridge 8 Comments

The Stampin’ Sunday Team are today offering their inspiration to Celebrate and for me, I Welcome Easter Sunday. I’ve loved the Welcome Easter stamp set this Spring and have used it a lot. The images are super cute and could so easily be used for other purposes like to welcome a newborn baby.

Today we not only celebrate Easter but the Birthday of one of our Designers, Manuela, so Happy Birthday Manuela.

I created a small batch of these cute cards to send out and used the new Ornate Dies to layer a Stitched Rectangle of Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper on. I just loved the little footprints on this paper with this image.

The font within Welcome Easter is just beautiful and playful and coordinates perfectly with this playful chick.

I stamped this chick onto whisper white cardstock before colouring in with our Alcohol Blends Pens. They blend so well and the colours coordinate with the papers and cardstock.

Oh how I had fun making these. I wanted something rustic so pulled upon the 6″ x 6″ Neutrals Designer Series Paper stack. Die cutting hearts of cardstock, I was able to create the beak and tuft before sealing up the container. Using a Black Blends Pen will allow you to change the colour of a regular Pearl, which I used for the eye. Isn’t he cute?

Be sure to enjoy the rest of the hop today and the rest of your weekend.

What a great idea to pair the bird footprints with the chick! Perfect together. And your chicken sour cream container brought a smile to my face!

Today I'm thinking Glitter and Glamour as part of Today I'm thinking Glitter and Glamour as part of the Stampin' Creative Blog Hop. I pulled upon the Dressed to Impress stamp set and the flowers from the True Love Papers for a somewhat glamorous new friend of mine. @jogaffney_thestyletherapist has been a fabulous inspiration during this past year and as this card evolved, the more I thought of her and her style. She is indeed fabulous and I couldn't recommend her more.
