This month’s Papercraft Kit pack from the You Can Create It Team offers elements from the Parisian Blossom Suite. I made use of a few generic items from the additions pack for my inspirational share.

Having not actually purchased the Parisian Blossom Stamp Set and Dies, I wanted to show how you could create a similar look with something else. I pulled my images from the Colorful Seasons Set from our Annual Catalogue. This set offers these beautiful blossom images and sentiments. The images worked so well with the Parisian Blossom Designer Series Paper. Teaming up with a simple Gingham check added that country shabby chic feel.

I adore the Stitched So Sweetly Dies that give these scalloped stitched rectangles. Layering up the papers added interest that I teamed up with a simple Blossom image.

Such a sweet little image, I was delighted with how well this coordinated with the Designer Series Paper.

I still had plenty of cardstock left to create something else, so used the rest of the Crumb cake Gingham Designer Series Paper on the Petal Pink Cardbase. I did some clever partial die cutting to create the scalloped stitched edge to the top of the gingham layer.

Once I’d stamped all the Blossom, I added further texture by embossing with the Subtle Embossing Folder. I do love this embossing folder for it’s subtle detail.
