Sorry for Everything Morning Magnolia

Yesterday saw one final goodbye for my Auntie who recently passed away. The only sibling to my late Dad, this lady outlived many with her strength. She stood clear and proud, just like this single flower from Good Morning Magnolia.   Sorry for Everything is by far my ‘go to’ stamp set for any Sympathy card. Teamed together like this, they worked so well.

I wanted a simple contemporary card to send to my cousin that looked respectfully peaceful and elegant at the same time.

Calming colours of Blackberry Bliss and Sahara Sand … a pairing I loved to set to work with.

This Magnolia flower is a large flower that stamped entirely on its own, offers a great focal point. The flower was stamped with Sahara Sand Ink onto the same colour Cardstock. I felt the urge to add corrugation for texture and loved the simplicity of interest that it created. This flower didn’t need colouring in, it looked beautiful just as it was. A simple sentiment that said it all and this card was complete.

This large bold sentiment was achieved by heat embossing the sentiment white on black and fussy cutting. The stitched rectangle could have whatever extension you needed for your card, but for me, this worked perfectly. As sympathy cards go, I really liked what I’d achieved.

My farewell sadly had to be given from afar, for the other family issues I was dealing with this week. I’m gutted to not have been present but pleased to hear that she received a good send-off.
