March brings about excitement for me, as I appear as Guest Designer for the Crafty Carrot Collective. Today I share a project using the Painted Poppies Bundle as a taster of my inspiration.
These former Artisan Design Team Members have each inspired me over the years. Stretching my creative flair and coaxing out whatever is inside me. Each one inspires me and I couldn’t believe it when they invited ME to be a Guest Designer with them. Super excited to have been invited, I’m looking forward to sharing my creativity with you. Seriously, this is a great honour and I’m still pinching myself.
The Crafty Carrot Collective Programme for March, is based on the Painted Poppies Bundle from the new Mini Catalogue. Each of these ladies will share their creative inspiration as part of this programme and I get to join them. The Programme offers a Guest hosted Facebook Live using the same suite of products, which I’m super excited for.
Today’s inspiration is a taster using these products that had me walk away from the colours of poppies. I wanted a soft spring image that was delicate and with not an ounce of red in sight.
Using Shimmery White cardstock, I heat embossed some leaves to the matting layer before adding a watercolour wash over. This offered a great frame for the focal point of this card.
Quite a whimsical appearance, this had me thinking clean fresh air and carefree days. I used watercolour pencils to add colour to the flower heads and Glimmer Paper, to add a scalloped sparkle trim beneath the sentiment.
