The Stampin’ Creative Team have decided to CASE Shelli, the very co-founder of and Chair Board of Stampin’ Up! I thought it would be fun to find my inspiration from the month and year that I joined Stampin’ Up!
I thought it would be fun to be reminded of the style that was around in March 2012.
Searching through the Archives of Shelli’s Blog, So Shelli, I came across this beautiful Kraft Gift Box. I remember the brown paper that came in our deliveries. It was this that Shelli used for the flower on the top of her box. Shelli loves flowers and nature. I’d found the project for me to Case Shelli.
I read in a recent post that Shelli loves the Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper. This formed the start of my design with one of our Kraft Mini Shipping Boxes. I wanted a soft and elegant palette, one that would reflect the elegance of Shelli herself. Soft Very Vanilla, Mint Macaron and Soft Sea Foam with Kraft.
Layering the die-cut flowers from the Peaceful Moments Bundle in Very Vanilla was the focal point of this gift box. In the absence of a doilie big enough, I turned to the largest Stitched Label Die and sat the flower upon this. A few leaves cut from Mint Macaron, a swish of the Organdy Ribbon and a tag and this box was complete.
Coordinating Card
I believe all good gifts need a card to accompany them so I set to work creating something to coordinate. I pulled upon the Kraft Magnolia Lane Large Specialty Cards & Envelopes. Tracing around the top edge of the envelope liner, I added a liner to match the box and card.
I cut the card in half and added a plain front to a Very Vanilla cardbase. This allowed me enough Kraft Cardstock to create the box tag.
Layering this beautiful flower up helps add dimension.
“Case Shelli” they said, well I thoroughly enjoyed doing just that and even more so going so far back in time. It was great to see the papers I remembered from all those years ago and give the project a modern twist.
I hope you have enjoyed my offering for today and that I’ve inspired you to take a look back on a designer that might inspire you.

Beautiful and sweet lookIng…..i need to make favors for bridal shower and these would be so perfect. SU DOESN’T sell these anymore do they? Can you tell me the size of your sweet box
Hi Kat, Thank you so much for your kind words. These would indeed be beautiful favours for a Bridal Shower. Everything you see used in this post is current and available to purchase through my online store as of February 2020. If you look at the bottom of my post, you’ll see images of all the products used and the boxes are the Mini Shipping Boxes with the Stampin’ Up! Logo on. I’ve just covered the logo with the patterned paper. They are a perfect little size, neither too big, nor too small. Click on the image and you’ll find the exact measurements. Another alternative that would look equally as beautiful if these measurements weren’t suitable, might be the Pillow Box that we sell. I hope this helps, Mikaela xx
