A warm welcome to the weekend and the Stampin’ Sunday Blog Hop. It’s going to be a hard hop today, as we choose our Sale-a-Bration Favourites to play with.
With an amazing array of products available in the 2020 Sale-a-Bration offering, it’s been hard to choose a firm favourite to play with. I particularly like the Happy Birthday to You Stamp Set that’s Free with a £45 spend. It offers both sentiments and an image you can break down into just flowers.
I have shown here how you can use this single Stamp Set for a Beginner, a Casual Crafter and an Advanced Crafter. Each card steps it up little by little.
Beginner
Stamped in Black Memento Ink and coloured in using our First Release of Watercolour Pencils. Although our Watercolour Pencils are super soft, I still like to smooth out any pencil lines using a Blender Pen.
Casual Crafter
I created a matting layer for this card and randomly stamped the cake off at an angle, to capture mainly the flowers. The sentiment was stamped on a scrap of Whisper White and fussy cut around it for mounting.
I mounted the sentiment with mini Dimensionals over a twine bow. Using a Bermuda Bay card base, helped pull together the base and the flowers.
Avid Crafter
Stepping it up slightly, I embossed the matting layer with the new Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder. The texture that this creates is just gorgeous. This time I fussy cut the flowers from the cake and mounted them using Dimensional Foam pads.
By Heat Embossing the sentiment white on Black, a dramatic contrast to the softer look of the card, was achieved. Again, fussy cutting added curves and interest.
Three slightly different cards, but each beautiful in their own right.
