Today I am SUPER excited to be shaking things up with a ‘Shaking it Challenge’ of the most incredible team of crafters. Made up of past and some current Artisan’s the Stampin’ Fancy Friday Team offers a wealth of talent. Stampin’ Up! select each year a new team of Artisans to showcase Stampin’ Up! products through their inspirational creativity. The greatest honour was to be a part of the 2019 Design Team and now I share this hop with the talented Artisans that went before me. I’m beside myself with excitement.
I am delighted to be following our very own Jennifer Frost, who inspired me with her wonderful creative flair to apply for Artisan myself. Jennifer’s work is so beautifully tasteful and elegant and you’re just going to love it. If you’ve not hopped on over from her but started the hop here Welcome. Be sure to hop right round to Jennifer’s blog post, she was an Artisan in 2015-16 and again in 2018.
Shaking it up Challenge
Today we are shaking things up with everything that shakes. Yes, Shaker cards and tassels. Wouldn’t it be great if the Tag was the box? Even better if it has a shaker element to it.
This little gift box was made using the unicorn from Leave a Little Sparkle stamp set and surrounded by the frame from Bonanza Dies. I love the stitched die products that we sell and this tag is of no exception. To tie in with the mane of the unicorn, I create the box lid with Flirty Flamingo. I mean, it just had to be pink.
With a flowing mane, I added two tassels, one in Pretty Peacock and the other I died Flirty Flamingo to match. An Ombre effect was created by dipping the tassel into Rubbing Alcohol with a few drips of Flirty Flamingo Ink. By allowing it to dry and re-dipping into neat Ink, it gives darker ends.
The side of the box lid was gently stamped with Versamark ink to give some subtle star detail. The Woven Threads Sequins were perfect for this Shaker Box and with some Dazzling Diamonds in there too, it really added some sparkle.
Our Alcohol-Based Blends pens are perfect for colouring our Glimmer paper. Pretty Peacock pulled together the sentiment with the tassel and even had its own ombre effect going on. A perfect little box for a Unicorn loving little girl. I hope you like it …. why not make a Shaker Box Lid the next time you consider making a card.
The Artisan Team of 2019 has captured a piece of my heart and I shared that year with the beautiful Angela Meritiz-Reid. Hop on over to see what fabulous inspiration she has to share.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this fabulous hop and be sure to look up the Stampin’ Fancy Friday Instagram Feed, as in future, we’ll be sharing our inspiration there.
Enjoy and see you next month.
