Today the You Can Create it Team are sharing inspiration using the Brightly Gleaming Suite. We share ideas for the November packet within this Quarter’s You Can Create it Kit, that we hope you’ll like. The fabulously talented Team spreads globally and the styles and ideas offer a real variety.
The Team design from a pre-selected Quarterly Kit chosen by the Team and comprises of a mini kit for each month within that quarter, plus some additional items. Then each month you check back here for inspiration for each kit packet. You’ll get ideas not only from the Team but from others who have purchased and played with the kit themselves. You can also submit ideas to me, made from your kit, to have posted to my blog post. It’s the perfect, ‘try before you buy’ way to have a taster of each collection of the products.
What does it cost?
- For just £15.00 you will receive a Quarterly kit consisting of 3 different kits plus some additional items that’s inclusive of P&P to UK addresses.
- Inspiration can be obtained each month from me and the You Can Create it, Team. You can also submit photographs of your creations using that month’s kit, to have posted to my blog, to share even more inspiration.
With November’s pack and some of the incidental extra cardstock, I have created these cards.
I think most crafters are frugal and I just love the way you can create cards from the positive and the negative when you die cut some shapes. Wording and letters work particularly well here.
Here I have used the Oval Shaped Dies and the Hand Lettered Prose to die cut the aperture and word. The papers are so beautiful that there didn’t need to be any further embellishment.
From what was left, it’s great that I was then able to create this card. I embossed the vanilla background here with the Subtle Embossing Folder, before mounting the oval cut shape. The added sentiments on these cards come from the Itty Bitty. Christmas Stamp Set … a must-have this festive season.
I was tempted to use the reverse of this next sheet of paper, but it wasn’t anywhere near as attractive as this side. It was, however, a little less busy, which made the second card of this not work quite so well. This, however, worked beautifully and again, didn’t need any further embellishment.
I hope you’ve liked this simple frugal share with you today and that you’ll look at your negatives in future.
