I’ve been having the Most Wonderful Time with our Autumn/Winter Product Medley that’s just perfect for Christmas. The Most Wonderful Time Medley offers everything you need in one Product Bundle with just one order number. Stamp Set, Dies, stunning foil papers, Embellishments and Stickers, there’s plenty to keep you crafting with happiness.
I got playing with the Most Wonderful Time Medley (#150705) and decided to combine it with some other Stamp Sets and Dies to create something stepped up. I wanted some Christmas Cards that were perhaps more keepsake cards for close friends and family.
The Christmas Tree is most certainly the focal point in our house at Christmas. Always quite a sizable tree, it’s a family tradition to dress the tree together. I needed a card therefore, that focused on the tree and came up with this DL size card.
The stunning Gold Shimmer Ribbon (#152156) from the Christmastime is Here Suite (available throughout November), beautifully held this card together. It was designed to be like opening a gift.
Adding a clean and simple internal card, gave greater interest and the feel of something extra special. The internal sentiment came from the gorgeous So Many Stars Stamp Set (#150496). I felt it followed on beautifully from the sentiment on the front.
The focal point trees are simply stickers found in the Product Medley that I adhered flat inside and added some Dimension to the one outside. Our Ice Stampin’ Glitter (#150445) really is your best friend if you want some full-on frosting. For yet more shimmer, I used the Shimmery Crystal Effects (#150892) to adhere the Glitter to. So much frosting.
I hope you’ll agree, that this Gatefold Card is quite an elegant card and something quite special.
I then wanted to create a simple square card that offered a handmade envelope to showcase the beautiful papers. Loving the Deer stickers in the Medley, I wanted to use a sheet of paper that tied in beautifully with them. By simply adding a covered triangular flap to a sleeve of cardstock, I created a wallet style envelope.
So serene, I wanted a peaceful sentiment and used ‘Peace & Happiness’ from the Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set (#150513) that offers an abundance of choice. The word ‘Peace’ was taken from the ‘So Many Stars set’, used for the previous card. Some simple layering and a wash of Soft Sea Foam Ink ((#147102) behind the Deer and a very simple card was lifted by the elegance of Gold Foil (#132622) and a Gold Metallic threaded tassel that I made.
I love the little image that I repeatedly stamped over the Envelope. This too came from the So Many Stars Stamp Set. A simple image that I felt offered an elegant touch of detail to this otherwise simple envelope.
With unused papers offering presents, candy cane and deeper green, I wanted to make something that was tailored more for a child.
A cheeky little image from the stamp set #Elfie (#150509) seemed perfectly fitting for the front of this card. I kept things on a theme of white, gold and green, but introduced Real Red in the colouring of the Elf. I used our fabulous Alcohol Blends Pens in Real Red (#147935), Old Olive (#144597), Soft Suede (#147273) and Ivory (#144606) to colour the Elf in. Another Shimmer Gold Ribbon tie opens to reveal Santa’s Workshop inside.
Isn’t this fun! I look forward to giving this to our son this Christmas. The sack of toys came from the Father Christmas image in Holly Jolly Christmas (#150471). I this set and #Elfie go hand in hand. The foil presents were all fussy cut from the Designer Series Papers that come in the Most Wonderful Time Medley. Adding some with Dimensionals helps give depth to the image.
Quite a bold wallpaper for Santa’s Workshop, but I wanted something a little more colourful for this card.
The sentiment came from the #Elfie set, that also provided the little Workshop Elf. I think the hardest part of this card was deciding upon what colour outfit the Elf would wear …. Red or Green?
I hope I have inspired you to get creative with this beautiful Product Medley with all its beautiful papers, accessories and embellishments. There really are so many other sets that it can team up so beautifully with and I hope I’ve shown you that.
