Last week saw my monthly papercraft class using the Peaceful Boughs. Three fabulous classes held over different days and venues, playing with this beautiful suite of products.
I wanted to have some fun with Ink, so we did a spot of Emboss Resist with watercolour paper. First, the ladies stamped on the paper using Versamark ink and heat embossed white. Using the Aqua Painter, they added ink to create an ombré effect. A very clean and simple card, but quite an elegant card at that and one that’s very adaptable to many an occasion.
Splatter a few snowflake sequins and some frosted epoxy embellishments with a sentiment to pack a punch and it was done.
This second card was inspired by the background I achieved for another card I created recently. Having many die-cut pieces leftover from my Peaceful Boughs Wreath, I decided to make a card with a wreath on too. I love the ‘milky way’ appearance of this background … (a comment made by someone following my recent Facebook Live). It’s so true, it’s almost space-like and worked so well with the two snowflakes from the Frosted Frames Die set.
The entire card shimmers through the help of the Wink of Stella splattering all over before the sentiment was added.
Generally, we always make 2 cards and a 3D item during my classes and this month I gave the ladies lots of choices. I created this Napkin ring and place setting, which they could make into a hanging embellishment for a tree or gift bag, or a Box Topper and a Gift Tag. The choice was theirs.
ended the week with a Facebook Live, where I created two more cards, using the same techniques and materials. Two more very different cards, yet on a theme. If you didn’t see my Facebook Live, then you can still catch it by clicking HERE.
I hope your week ahead will be a good one. I’m on the count down to the half-term break whilst getting ready for Peterborough Live this coming weekend too.
