Let’s Get Hopping #25 Single Layer Card

We are sharing inspiration for a Single Layer Card today on the Let’s Get Hopping Hop. Single Layer Cards can be difficult, for the Avid Crafter likes to use more products than just Ink and Paper.  I always love this challenge, for it’s great to peel things back a little.

If you’ve hopped over from my fellow Artisan and friend, Tanya, then you’ll have already been spoilt to some amazing inspiration. Well, today I share with you a peeled back card that I offered as a Free Make & Take at a recent Craft Show.

I decided to showcase the use of the Stamparatus whilst using the stamp set, From our house to yours. A great set that’s not just for Christmas, it offers a Scandinavian vibe.

A simple little card, I wanted to show how our two platform Stamp Positioning Tool, had four plates for use. Using four colours allowed me to do this. With little open doors, these little welcoming homes gave the warmth of Christmas in one single layer card.

At the show, I had the ladies add a flash of Designer Series Paper, but here, I simply added a few Snowflake sequins.

I thought I’d step it up a little, whilst still keeping to the Single Layer Card theme. Stamping the snowflakes all around the card with Versamark, I heat embossed White. Sponging with Pool Party, I created some Emboss Resist Snowflakes that I then embellished with some twine and a few sequins.

Two very simple little cards, but two very cheerful ones. I have fallen in love with the ‘From our House to yours’ stamp set and look forward to using it again.
