This year we sailed the Greek Isles as part of the Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip 2019. It was with the help of you, my customers, and my Team that I managed to earn it. Today I celebrate those friends who have earned the next trip with a card made using Dino Days.
This trip was one I could enjoy with both my husband and son, which made it all the more enjoyable.
We didn’t exactly leave the ship on this trip, for we simply enjoyed some much-needed RnR. It’s been quite a year for hubby and I, so a week of total relaxation came as a welcome break. The Jewel of the Seas was a wonderful ship, smaller than others, but we liked it for that reason.
There was plenty on this ship for us to enjoy as a family from Crazy Golf to the water slides and the pool and an educational journey home by an erupting volcano, Stromboli in action.
These trips are of course about the Crafting Business, but also the friendships that we make along the way. I’m not one for collecting photos with others but did capture a few photos of some other Demonstrators. Many faces here you may recognise and many are taking part in this hop. Oh, the laughter shared!
During each Incentive Trip, the announcement is made for what the next trip will be. 2021 will be a fabulous trip of the Eastern Caribbean and another cruise with Royal Caribbean, but the earning period for 2020’s trip hasn’t ended yet.
2020 Incentive Trip to Maui
The earning period for 2020’s trip to Maui, is about to come to an end. Some good friends have successfully earned this amazing trip and I couldn’t be happier for them. I created this card for one special friend and wanted something that would be a calming reminder of the trip she’ll have to enjoy. I wanted her to imagine herself there in Maui, by the card I created to celebrate her achievements. Who’d have thought Dino Days would have been the stamp set that I’d turn to though?
A thought in the middle of the night of hearing the sound of the Sea in a conch shell brought about the inspiration for this card. I was going to die cut the word ‘Maui’ and create a kind of shaker card. One that when tilted from side to side would sound like the tide of the sea coming and going.
I filled a narrow channel with Ice Stampin’ Glitter and Sequins of various shades of blue and backed the word with window sheet. It was the Palm Tree came from the fun Stamp Set, Dino Days and those coconuts? …. well they were the centres of the ‘a and o’ from the die set (waste not, want not).
A pop of colour was needed so I edged the card with a Crushed Curry Decorative Ribbon Border and finished off with a few scattered sequins. The remainder of the sentiment ‘Here’s to you!’ came from the aptly named stamp set, Seaside Notions. A suitably fitting card for a fabulous achievement and one to get her in the mood for the sea of Hawaii.
Congratulations to all of my fellow Demonstrators for having earned this trip and for those still working on it, I wish you all the very best.
I hope you have enjoyed my little share with you today. I wish you could hear the sea sound that I have created here, but you too will just have to imagine it.
Enjoy the rest of the inspiration of this hop and thanks for dropping by.
