I’ve been Wreath making again … I’m guessing you could say it’s a passion of mine to make a Home Decor piece. This weekend I made the frosted wreath using the Beautiful Boughs Dies and some frosty wintery colours.
The Peaceful Boughs bundle didn’t grab me at first, but I sat down to play and fell in love. I found myself frantically die cutting all the beautiful boughs. The more I had on my desk, the more I felt the need to create a fresh new Wreath.
A Polysterine Foam Ring covered in either basic string or Burlap Ribbon is a good base for the Hot Glue to adhere to. Wanting a frosty looking wreath, so chose soft-toned colours of Mint Macaron, Soft Seafoam and White. Team this with the browns of the Pinecones and a punchy red bow and my wreath needed little more.
A little Puff Snow was added to the Pinecones and a few strategically placed Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets and my wreath were complete. In the absence of the Puff Snow which is currently unable the Shimmery Embossing Paste is a great alternative.
It even generated a WOW from hubby and son, which is always a welcome relief when being creative.
A frosted wreath to hang with pride and one that should compliment any home colour scheme.
Now you’d think this would generate a LOT of die-cutting, which of course it does, but only 24 rotations through the Die cutter. I don’t think that’s too bad.
This Wreath will be added to my class offering later, so if you’re living in the area of Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, then this might interest you. Check back later to my Events tab for more information.
Oh yes, I never did ink up that Peaceful Boughs Stamp Set … or did I? …
