Stampers Showcase Blog Hop – Babies and Children

Welcome to this month’s Stampers Showcase Blog Hop where we’re creating for Babies and Children.

Firstly, welcome to my website and to this blog hop, I very much appreciate you hopping by. If you’ve joined me from Teresa’s blog, then you’ll have already been spoilt to some fabulous inspiration on this theme.

Well, I am sharing a Newborn Baby card with you today and one using the gorgeous stamp set, Little Elephant. Such a cute set and fab when teamed up with the coordinating Builder Punch.

I decided to use the new In Colour Blue, Seaside Spray and the checked Designer Series Paper in this colour. Starting off with a solid background, I decided to shake things up a little by cutting it into strips and adding a lace detail trim to the bottom. Who says. boys can’t have a little frill too?

The Elephant it’self was stamped in Smoky Slate and his ear again punched from. the Designer Series Paper. I loved how this pulled the background into the foreground.

A double layer of the Starburst Punch, in both Whisper White and Vellum and I had the perfect backdrop for the Elephant.

The Well Written Dies have a beautiful font that I just love. I used them to cut the word Welcome from Silver Foil and pulled the rest of the sentiment from the Little Elephant Stamp Set.

It’s a very simple little card that came together really quite quickly, but I hope you like it and I hope I’ve inspired you in some way.

Now let’s see what the talented Stacey Marsh has to offer. I feel sure she’ll be offering us some inspiration in abundance.
