Welcome to this month’s Stampers Showcase Blog Hop where this month we’re sharing Masculine projects. Be it that I was about to head off on a Cruise it had me thinking. Many men work overseas, in the forces or at sea, so a Miss You card seemed fitting.
I set to creating this sponged background from Pool Party, Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay and Night of Navy on Shimmery White cardstock. A little Soft Suede was added for the sea bed and some Silver Heat Embossed lines from the Artisan Textures Stamp Set. It was so hard to capture the shimmer that this cardstock creates.
The Anchor was stamped in versamark and heat embossed with Silver Embossing Powder on Smoky Slate cardstock. I really couldn’t decide if the anchor should be brown/bronzes or silver, but I loved the finished look.
The Well Written Dies, cut out of Silver Foil to blend with the embossing is a great compliment.
I debated about the addition of the sequins, but just three to allow the sea to shimmer, I felt enough and perfectly fitting. A simple little card with lots of texture that I hope you’ve liked.
