We at the Creation Station have Got your Back this month, as the theme is about Backgrounds.

Today I turned my hand to a beautiful new stamp set called. Beautiful Friendship. It’s an absolutely stunning set that’s just perfect for creating with simply Ink and Paper.
I decided that I wanted to create some Ombré effects using some of the images in a rather random way.
Such a simple little card using four inks, some ribbon and some sequins for that touch of sparkle. I love how you can’t tell that this image comes from a floral set.
Here, I’ve gone for full-on florals, with a background of random stamping and an ombré effect sentiment.
How to create an Ombré Sentiment
To create a stamped sentiment like this, first ink up the paler colour, then part ink up, by hanging the stamp off the side of the ink pad, before stamping.
This card was my favourite of the three with the Hydrangea randomly stamped all over the card base. First with Pool Party, then Coastal Cabana, then Bermuda Bay and finally, Night of Navy. The vellum circle stops the flower from merging into the background and helps draw your eye to the focal point. Adding some silver thread pulls together with the Silver Embossed sentiment. By adding a second layer to just one of the flowers, helps to give depth.
One stamp set, but three very different cards. I hope you’ve enjoyed my share with you today.
Do be sure to hop on over to see what the lovely Denita has in store for us.
I’m sure you’ll agree there’s a lot of inspiration amongst this hop.
