Hello there my Crafty Friends and welcome to this month’s Blog Hop where we’re sharing our Masculine Makes. Yes, this month we at the Stampin’ Creative are going Masculine.
Today I am giving thanks to the wonderful man in my life. When I first saw this new stamp set, it was this image that immediately made me think of my husband. He not only owns a summer hat like this that he wears but would dress just like this. I, therefore, couldn’t resist but come up this card for him.
Hubby, like most, spends most of the summer mowing the lawn. We have a big Elm Tree overhanging our lawn, which is why this image was conjured up in my head.
I teamed together Rooted in Nature with this gorgeous new stamp set, A Good Man. Hubby is indeed a good man and deserves some relaxation time.
I used the Thumping technique on the tree, where you thump the thick ends of your marker pens over the canopy of the tree, before stamping the image. It leaves a fabulous variegated look, that’s ideal for trees and leaves. Blue is his favourite colour, so the base card just had to have Night of Navy on it.
I’m looking forward to crafting some more with this beautiful stamp set. There are not only beautiful images, but some wonderful sentiments in there also. This set will be available to purchase from the 4th June with the launch of the New Annual Catalogue.
Masculine cards can often be hard to create, but with stamp sets like these, you’re sure to have some images you can pull from. I hope you like my card today and that you’ll enjoy looking around the rest of the hop and what the other girls have in store for you.
