Welcome to this month’s Stampers Showcase Blog Hop where this month’s theme we’re sharing a Fun Fancy Fold. If you’ve hopped on over from lovely Mo, then you’ll have already seen a fabulous Fancy Fold. Mo is one of my team and very talented with a great style.
I have decided to share a pop up Shadow Box with you today, using an up coming Stamp Set, Sailing Home. This stamp Set will be available from the new Annual Catalogue from 4th June.
I made a card of this style with my customers at Christmas and thought I’d give it a go with this sail boat. The front of the card looks quite normal, but the inside pops up, with a shadow box. I took one of the laser cut pieces from the Memories & More set within this suite and die cut a circle from the waves. I sponged this with the Brayer and adhered to the front of the card. Adding the boat with dimensional foam pads, gave the illusion of depth of field.
Look at these cute little embellishments. It seemed only right to use the Anchor to the bottom of this card with the robe edging. A very clean and simple card front, but open it up and the detail becomes greater.
Yet more sponged laser-cut waves stuck first to the very back of the aperture and then to the front. This was again done to give the feeling of distance. Even the birds stamped to both the back and brought forwards, help bring this card to life.
I couldn’t decide upon a sentiment, so this card could be used for any occasion, although I feel this card will be sent for an upcoming male birthday.
Be sure to click and see what Janice has in store for us all, I’m sure you’ll be inspired by her creation.
Enjoy the rest of your day and the rest of the hop.

Could you tell me where The instructIons are to make the shadowbox pop up card. I keep staring at it and i don’t get it! Also, i would like Your permission for me to case this card for my hubby birthday. I have never found a sailing card that is so awesome!

Hi there Nancy, Thank you so much for your super kind words. I do hope my reply is still timely and you’ll not be making his next Birthday card from my instructions. This evening (19th June 2019) I am hosting a Facebook Live on my Business page where I am going to show you how to make the mechanics of this Shadow Box Card with the Above The Clouds Stamp Set and Punch Bundle. I’m going live at 13:00 your time today. 8pm UK local. If you’re unable to watch whilst I’m live, at least you can head over and watch at your leisure. I hope it will help you x
