We couldn’t help it … With so much Gingham around, we at the Creation Station are Going Gingham Style this month. Yes, everything that’s Gingham we will be sharing with you.
Dani Dziama’s Gingham inspiration was before me. She’ll have shared something fabulous.
I have a simple gingham share for you today that’s a simple team welcome card. I’ve teamed up the small Gingham check in Highland Heather with a number of colours that somehow just work.
If the truth be known, I’m not a mad lover of lilac tones. Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana and Flirty Flamingo seemed to work so well with Highland Heather. They seemed to raise a smile for me, appearing almost Ice Cream like.
Our Distinktive style stamp sets offer amazing detail. Those threads really do stand out here in Needle and Thread.
With the amazing Starter Kit offer that we had during Sale-a-Bration, I’ve been in the need of quite a few Welcome cards. My Team, The Stampin’ STYlettes has somewhat grown, so this card will head out to these new members.
Vellum sits across the card behind the sentiment panel to add a softening layer of interest that I’ve anchored all the detail onto. The sentiment comes from a stamp set I received at CentreStage when we I was at OnStage Orlando back in November. Stamping your way to the top is a fabulous set for Demonstrators to use.
These colours are far from the cry of a soft lilac palette that I’d often have chosen for Highland Heather, but I really like it. I also love the two tone effect of this beautiful ribbon. This colour of gingham need not be soft and gentle, or babylike and twee, it can be shocking and work.
I think these Gingham Gala self adhesive sequins have been my favourite embellishment from this Spring/Summer catalogue.
Next up we have the amazingly talented Elizabeth Price. Elizabeth always creates something fabulous and I can’t wait to see how creative she has been with Gingham. Click Next and take a look.
Enjoy the rest of the inspiration and have a great rest of your weekend.
