When some bunny told me there was a little boy turning one, I got creating with him in mind. The moment I saw the Fable Friends (#148670) Stamp Set, I knew I had to have it. These adorable images, that reminded me of Peter Rabbit and Jemima Puddle Duck, just had to adorn my shelves.
I am Mikaela Titheridge, Artisan Design Team Member 2019 from Cambridgeshire, UK. I’ve been asked to share a Corporate Blog Post with you, which I’m delighted to do. The Stampin’ Up! Blog/Facebook page is where these posts are then shared and feature projects that we make using current products of our choice. I pulled out these beautiful Fable Friends for mine.
I wanted to create a little Home Décor piece that was fitting for a child’s first Birthday using our little Peter Rabbit. This Shadow Box Frame measures approximately 8″ Square and seemed the perfect size to create this little wreath. I’ve selected the soft colours of Soft Sea Foam (#147012), Balmy Blue (#147007) and Crumb Cake (#121685) to create this set and loved how it turned out.
The Leaf Punch (#144667), along with the cute little flower from the Bitty Blooms Punch Pack (#148532) were a must for creating this wreath. You can colour the standard white pearls by using the Balmy Blue Blends Pen (#148542) on the Self Adhesive Pearls (#144219). It’s wonderful how you can use these alcohol pens in this way.
Personalising your Sentiment
The Make a Difference Stamp Set (#146676) allows you to create your own sentiments. This stamp set offers a complete alphabet for you to build your own sentiments. Ideal for this project, where I’ve stamped the letters using Night of Navy Ink (#147110) and Balmy Blue Ink (#147105).
Keepsake Bunting
I thought it would be nice to create this keepsake bunting to blend with this Framed piece. Surrounded by various signs of love, the Bunny just had to be the focal point.
A child’s first steps often come after they’ve turned one. It seemed fitting to add the hands and feet from the First Steps Stamp Set (#148718) to this banner. The Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies (#148551) are a must have for your craft collection.I used them to create these cute little frames. The stitched details just seem to lend themselves to our baby themed products somehow. To tie in with these, I made use of the Stitched Labels Framelits (#146828) for various additional details.
The beauty of these keepsake buntings, are that you can add as many different elements as you like. The Doily Builder Thinlits Dies (#148553) were used to create these beautifully delicate doilies.
The patterned papers in the Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper Pack (#146284) were the perfect colour match. Texture was created on some of the bunting by using the Subtle Embossing Folder (#143706), which really does add subtle texture. The Classic Label Punch (#141491) was used to make the little fence from scraps of whisper white Cardstock.
This super cute rabbit was coloured in using our Stampin’ Up! Blends, which are a fabulous addition to our colouring tools and blend so well. I used the Balmy Blue Duo (#148544) and the Crumb Cake Duo (#144601).
I have absolutely loved creating this little set to share with you and really hope that I have inspired you.
