Welcome to this month’s Hop, where we are showcasing our favourite Designer Series Paper.
Welcome and if you’ve been hopping around already, then you’ll have already seen an abundance of fabulous projects. With so many wonderful patterned papers in the new catalogue, it’s been hard to choose a favourite for this Notecard holder. My first thought was the Share What you Love papers, with the beautiful florals, or the Delightfully Details Lazer Cut papers. Surprisingly I ended up choosing a paper pack that that offers relatively plains and patterns that I keep being drawn to.
Which Designer Series Paper did I choose?
The Tranquil Textures paper pack offers a lot of Blues and Greens and is a great paper to use with Lilypad Lake or as I have, Waterfront. I’d not inked up my Waterfront Stamp Set and decided this was the project I would do just that.
I thought this sheet looked a little like a crocodile print and immediately thought of a purse or wallet. I then remembered a swap that I’d received a couple of years back when on the Med Cruise that was this cute little notecard holder and I had to recreate it for you.
I love the sentiments in the Waterfront Stamp Set, they just resinate with me. I also love the new Grey Granite colour, which is the colour of this gorgeous Ribbon. I thought it teamed well with the colours in this sheet of paper. Some papers are hard to chop, but they are there to be used …. Folded and scored a 7 1/2″ x 12″ piece of Designer Series Paper was used to make this.
The notecards I stamped for the inside are really quite simply stamped, but I didn’t want anything fussy. Sometimes less really is more. We’ve been experiencing a heatwave here in the UK of late and these seaside scenes just had me thinking of cool waters to swim in.
I think this little set would make a perfect little gift to someone. Leave the cards blank and you can add your own sentiment as the need arrises.
