This weekend we celebrated my Father-in-laws amazing 90th Birthday. It’s a fabulous age to be celebrating and what an amazingly strong man. Men love mechanics, so it only seemed right and fitting to create a movement card like this Twist and Pop card.
It’s been quite a year health wise for him, so to reach 90 really is quite amazing and needed celebrating. Immediately the front of the card came to me, as we ‘Celebrate Amazing you’. Simple rustic colours with a pop of Mango Melody … I’m loving that colour as a pop.
The mechanism of the twist and pop card is just that. Open up the card and the insides literally twist and pop up. It’s ever so clever and had our son literally say out loud “WOW Mummy”.
A lot of my supplies were still boxed up having returned from my annual Summer Stamp-a-Stack only last night. I’d not even had time to unpack when I had to set to work making this. Surprisingly I had several products on my desk that I lent my hand to, which is why it coordinates so well with my previous Birthday Bunting Project.
Sadly the Large Numbers Dies have retired, but still so very useful. I honestly didn’t think that there needs any more on the inside, other than a white panel to write our personal message, which went towards the bottom. It certainly was a card to surprise and something a little bit special.
