This past week had me showcasing the fabulous new Varied Vases Bundle in my paper craft classes. It’s a Stamp Set and Punch Bundle that’s a must for your collection. Suitable for the beginner or the avid crafter alike, this set is ideal for creating quick and simple, to technique heavy creations. Take a look at what was inside this pretty little Note Card Holder.
I thoroughly enjoyed creating this little set of Note Cards, which had it’s own little Note Card Holder to house them in. I really warmed to these colours together … Poppy Parade, Pool Party, Gray Granite and Early Espresso. I chose Early Espresso as a Black substitute. I felt that it helped to soften the over all look.
Yes there was some fussy cutting of the flowers, but I felt they were well worth it. If you layer a piece of vellum over the vase, it helps to create that opaque glass/ceramic look.
A simple little notecard holder, this little wallet holds around 6 notecards (depending upon layers) … 3 either side.
I added a matting layer using the Ruffled Embossing Folder, which is super pretty and great for texture. This sat over the ribbon on the back, to help secure it in place.
Varied Vases Note Cards
This first card was inspired by Linda Van Wely-Zwolle, one of our Artisan Design Team members. The base layout was very similar, although a different size card, but the vase and flower elements, very different.
I really liked the soft sponged background gently stamped with the pretty little flowers.
These vases lend themselves to using the masking technique, which is what I did here. It helps to add depth to your work. I adore the little leaves and couldn’t resit but simply scattering them over the base layer of the card.
I so enjoyed creating these and am very thankful to the wonderful Mary Fish, one of our Million Sales Achievers in America, who was the inspiration for this set. It’s so lovely to have such a versatile stamp set and punch set in the offering.
