Welcome to the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop. Today we are all showcasing Carry Over Stamp Sets and I’ve chosen a set that seldom gets used, called Sorry for Everything.
Welcome to our blog hop and a real variety of stamp sets and creations to inspire you. Today’s card has been created sadly for a friend who’s Mother has just passed away. These unexpected cards don’t often get created in advance.
Sorry for Everything is thankfully a set seldom used, but I’m pleased to have on my shelves. It’s a set that is carrying over to the new Catalogue, which I’m pleased about. I wanted to surrounded the large sentiment by pretty flowers and colour.
I really didn’t want to use somber colours, for life should be celebrated, but wanted to surround the entire card with colour. Thsee beautiful spring colours were sat on my desk from creating with our Early Release suite, Share What you Love. I’d been creating with these colours for an up coming Class. I felt sure that Gold embossing would team up so well and I wasn’t wrong.
With the addition of one ink, the embossing powder and Sorry for Everything, I’ve used the Just Getting Started Bundle. I did switch Very Vanilla cardstock for whisper white and Petal Pink, a new colour that will be available from 1st June.
It’s quite a simple card today with very little to it, but sometimes less is more and a single layer card is all you are after. The more I looked at this, the more I felt it really didn’t need for anything else. Glitter/shimmer didn’t seem appropriate for the occasion. Nothing else seemed quite right. The sentiment is stamped in a contrasting Soft Suede, with just the word ‘Sorry’ heat embossed Gold.
This stamp set really does say Sorry for Everything as is suitable for a multitude of reasons. I decided to stamp a simple line of leaves inside, rather than a further sentiment. Hopefully this will deliver a great big hug of encouragement at this time, whilst adding a cheerful lift of colour. Sensitive, respectful, but also not being too somber.
I hope you have found inspiration from my quick and simple one layer card today.
Take a look down the list of participants now and hop on down to the next in line to see what other great Stamp Sets are carrying over this year.
Thanks for hopping by today
Sorry for Everything

Dear Mikaela,
your Card is really beautiful and Grapefruit Grove is one of my favorite new incolors.
Thank you so much. A very simple little card from me today, but often we don’t have much time to pull these type of cards together. When the need arrises, we just have to make and send x
This is beautiful with the sentiment, the stamps, the colours…just everything! I love that you have stamped inside the card too; i need to remember to do this!
Thank you so much Ashley. I like to pull something from the front to tie in with a little sometime inside. Carry over the colour or theme. I’m pleased you like xx
