It’s time for some Bird Banter here as we’re Stamping Sunday with you.
It’s the Stampin’ Sunday Blog hop and time to twitter on about our Bird Banter and share our love for it and I do indeed … love it.
I had set out to create something entirely different with this fabulous set, but the day I’d set aside to create this, just didn’t go the way I had hoped for, so Quick and Easy was the name. I’ll still create what I’d planned to share, but here instead, I’m sharing the quickest, most simplest you could get.
I wasn’t entirely sure about this set at first, but in actual fact, it’s very versatile and can create some wonderful masculine cards.
All of these were created using Stampin’ Up! Note Card and Envelopes. Both the new mini slim ones and our original size.
Our Stampin’ Blends have been SO popular that they flew off the shelves so quickly after release. Our Blends are therefore now on back order, but there are many other ways in which you could colour these chaps in. The matting layer allowed me to stamp and colour, before committing to the card. Alcohol based pens also have a tendency of bleeding through to the back of the card.
Isn’t this Budgie just so cute?! The little love note was my first card. Its really useful to have a stack of cards without sentiments on and I think this card could be a quick love note, a card to a friend or a very simple Anniversary card.
It’s this handsome Parrot that makes me think this set is suitable for male cards. The font is unfussy and non flowery, which is perfect for masculine cards.
These final two cards scream male cards to me. I just LOVE the character of these birds and the quaffed feathers. I think that’s why less it more works for them. Their character sings.
Bird Banter Colouring Choices
Stamp yourself up a batch of matting layers using these guys and choose your method of colouring.
- Watercolour Pencils
- Stampin’ Markers with Aquapainters or Blender Pens
You could colour them whilst watching TV or on a plane or train journey. You’d have an Avery of cards before you knew it.
Well there’s nothing really rocket science about these cards in terms of design, but I think we all need something quick and easy from time to time and there’s no denying that these are indeed that.
We are soon to announce our retiring list in preparation for the launch of our new Annual Catalogue, so be sure to make your purchase of this set early if it’s taken your fancy. You can’t be sure it’s sticking around or flown off.
Do fly over to see what the other girls have shared with us using this fabulous set. I can’t wait to see.
