Welcome to this month’s Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop where April Showers you with departing colours and all things weather related. You are currently on the blog of Mikaela Titheridge, a UK Demonstrator, based in Cambridgeshire. Do you want to see who’s hopping with us this month? Take a look at the full line up further down this post, you’re in store for some fabulous inspiration.
We have had a real mix of weather here in the UK. We’ve been blessed with high temperatures and glorious sunshine last week and today, real April showers.
Well, we are showered with baby news too … baby news of a Royal nature. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge welcomed to the world, their third baby, Louis Arthur Charles. It’s this wonderful news that inspired my creative share for you today.
Sunshine and showers bring about bright, beautiful rainbows and having seen a mobile like this on Pinterest, I couldn’t not have a go at making one myself.
With strips of cardstock cut ever shorter and stapled at the ends, you’ll create an arc as deep as you choose. Adhere some cotton wool balls using a Hot Glue Gun. The Balloon Punch upside down, is perfect for making these honeycomb raindrops.
Being such a bright mobile, it needed an equally bright and cheerful card to accompany it. I really couldn’t decide what colour umbrella the Royal Baby should be hanging from, so chose the multicoloured Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper. Those aren’t raindrops you see … oh no, they are Dazzling Diamond hearts of love showered over him.
These are three sets that I have loved from the current catalogue and three I’ve not used anywhere near enough. In fact, I’d be hard pushed to part with them. Yes, all three of these sets are on the current retirement list, so if you’ve seen something here that you like, then you’d better be quick in purchasing them. How do you go about buying them? You’ll find the products used further down this page that will take you directly to my online store.
So lets see what other delights April Showers us with by hopping over to one of the rest of the Hop participants. We’ve a great line up for you this month, so enjoy and don’t forget to leave us a message or two to let us know what you think.
Thanks for stopping by. Stay dry and enjoy the rest of the weekend.
