Good morning all and welcome to the Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop where this Easter we will be cooking up a storm for you. I’ve been having some fun with chocolate and some spotty cute packaging.
Brace yourself as these fabulous girls on the Design Team will each be sharing some fabulous inspiration with you, but for now, I’ll share what I’ve been up to.
Who doesn’t like a chocolate chip cookie or a chocolate cupcake? Well, rather than cooking up a storm of decision making, I thought I’d give you both. They seem to be perfectly fitting accompaniments to a cup of tea this Easter. I’d not used my Mini Treat Bag Thinlits for a long while, so dug them back out to cut a little treat bag. I felt that the colours in the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper coupled so well with the dark chocolate colour, yet screamed spring with the freshness of Soft Sky and Pear Pizazz.
The Layering Circle Framelits are just so useful to own and the word ‘enjoy’ from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits the perfect addition.
Sara Douglas, our CEO, recently shared a super little cupcake box tutorial that I was eager to try, except she used a Mini Pizza Box for the bas of her box. Not having any in my craft room, I set to adapting her instructions and creating my own. With the help of an Envelope Punch Board, I created a little box the same size as the mini pizza boxes and die cut a circle in the base before turning it upside down. This holds the cake in place. The rest of the box was pretty much the same, give or take.
A piece of window sheet allowed you to see what delight you had in store, whilst keeping it protected. You could embellish in so many ways and in so many colours. I just wanted something quite simple. The Bunny on the Cookie Treat Bag was from my favourite Easter set, Happy Easter, which just had to be the sentiment on the cupcake box. A couple of cute little flowers made from the Tree Builder Punch and I was done.
Now take a hop on over to one of the other Design girls and see what inspiration they are sharing with us all today. I can’t wait to see.
Enjoy Hopping and Happy Easter
