A warm welcome to this exciting new blog hop, Stamp ‘N Hop, that’s been set up for Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators of all skill levels. I am Mikaela Titheridge, of The Crafty oINK Pen and I’m based in the small village of Spaldwick, just outside of Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, UK.
I am delighted to be hopping with so many new stamping friends today and for the first time ever, hopping with no less than two of my very own team …. Mo Rootes and Susan Simpson.
This month’s theme we are showcasing our favourite products from the Spring/Summer Occasions Catalogue. I feel sure that you’ll be overwhelmed by the inspiration we will all share. If you’ve hopped on over from Linda Richenberg, then you’ll have already seen some fabulous inspiration and I hope to inspire you further.
This week I held my Petal Palette Class and just loved working with this Suite. Fresh Fig is such a beautifully rich and elegant colour that I’ve combined with Crumb Cake here. We created two cards and this cute Bird House treat box. It’s based on the Milk Carton, that I’ve simply embellished and share the measurements as part of this Hop.
Stamp ‘N Hop Bird House Tutorial
Cardstock Required: 8 1/4″ (or US 8 1/2″) x 5 1/2″
Scored along the long side at 2″, 4″, 6″, 8″
Scored along the short side at 1 1/2″, 3 1/2″ and 5″ (it’s best if you can flip the card over to do this final score line).
Note: The last score line, forms the top of the tetra style milk carton, so is folded back on itself. Roof measurements further down.
I would suggest you use framelits or a punch to add the mock opening. You can then back with Window sheet to secure whatever treats you decided to put inside.
Finally, the roof measurements: 2 1/2″ x 5″ scored at 2 1/8″, 2 4/8″, 2 7/8″ will conclude this bird house. The rest is embellishment.
Thank you for hopping on by today, I hope you have enjoyed my inspiration. Do make sure you hop on over to the lovely Kayla, to see what she has to inspire you with.
Purchase the Petal Passion Bundle during the month’s of February and March and you’ll earn yourself one FREE Product item from the Sale-a-Bration offering. Links to all products used, can be found below.
