We at the Creation Station are still celebrating this month and this time its Celebrations of the Heart.
I’m sure if you’ve hopped on over from the talented Kerstin Kreuzer, then you’ll have already loved the Celebrations of the Heart that she’ll have shared with you.
I fell in love with the new stamp set, Heart Happiness, which I’ve chosen to use here.
When I start a creation I sometimes start with a stamp set, a suite or in this case a colour theme.
Celebration of the Heart colour theme
I saw something that had me pulling together Basic Gray, Fresh Fig, Powder Pink and Wild Wasabi, which I just loved teamed together.
The little scattered silver grey looking hearts, were heat embossed with Silver Embossing powder to give a touch of shimmer. I love it when a Love themed card isn’t sickly sweet and girlie. I often think that a man is drawn to these cards more so for giving.
The second simpler card I felt looked a little more girlie and could even be considered as an Anniversary card, so added a little more pink, some ribbon and tailored the internal sentiment more for this type of occasion.
It’s difficult to see here, but the sentiment is stamped in two colours, Basic Grey and Fresh Fig, just to add some extra interest.
