We’ve an exciting month this month, as we at the Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop, hop with Special guest Lyssa Zwolanek.
We have each taken inspiration from Lyssa’s blog, chosen something to CASE and created our own projects to share. If you’ve hopped on over from the lovely Emma Goddard, then you’ll have already been spoilt to some fabulous inspiration and now it’s my turn to try and inspire you.
This wonderful card of Lyssa’s was on her blog dating back to my birthday in July 2016 (it must have been a sign). I really liked the simplicity and versatility of what the focal point could be, where the cut out could sit and what the theme could be also.
This was a striking card and I just loved Lyssa’s colour choices, so where would I take the layout?
I couldn’t decide upon what stamp set to make use of, but set to work using autumn leaves as my inspiration.
The square card of Lyssa’s with the central focal point was striking, but I wanted to try and change things up a little, by changing this focal point on a standard card base. I also wanted to switch up the circle for a different shape and wondered what it would look like with a die cut leaf. You can’t quite see the leaf shape at the bottom, as I’ve layered up other colours over the top. Isn’t that copper leave just gorgeous though?
The Painted Autumn papers are just so beautiful, they’re actually one of my favourite packs right now.
I couldn’t resist but use my two mini circle punches to create these little copper circles to help lift the backing paper a little. Such an easy little addition and a great way to use up scraps creating when die cutting the leaves.
The little treat box, which I made for my customers at last week’s classes for a table favour, was made using the Simply Scored Board and the same Designer Series Paper. Just big enough to take a single chocolate … and the Hazelnut Lindt chocolate balls are just divine.
Early Espresso , Peekaboo Peach, Very Vanilla and Copper Foil generated some beautiful autumnal colours. A surprisingly simple little card and table favour and all inspired by the lovely card created by Lyssa Zwolanek.
My thanks go to Lyssa for allowing us to CASE her work and for her joining us here this month. It’s been an absolute pleasure to be hopping with her … so without further ado, I now invite you to click next to be taken directly to Lyssa’s blog, where she will be sharing more of her creative talents with you.
Thank you for hopping with us today. Your thoughts and comments are welcomed. Enjoy the rest of the hop.
