Well finally I’ve had the time to draw breath … I’ve done it !! … I have a huge Alaskan Thanks to give out to all of my customers, followers, family, friends and of course my team, as last week I reached the target that earned me and my family a trip of a lifetime.
Yes, some of you will have already seen me share my news but for the most, I have had to wait for time to sit and write this post to give out my Alaskan Thanks to you all.
We have recently been undertaking some home improvements at home here, which is one of the main reasons why I’ve been someone quiet with my posting of late. Needless to say, behind the scenes I have been working when I can, focusing my attention on classes and events to keep my crafting ladies happy. Its been a year of juggles with last week alone, bringing yet more building work challenges, but on day two of these challenges, I hit the target and shared my news to the family, in a rather unorthodox way.
Two days of uncertainty that areas beneath the roof line wouldn’t just fall in as the frames were taken out, brought some rather stressful hours and eventually, a lot of dust. Well I wouldn’t be creative if I hadn’t put that dust to some good use now would I?
To open a rather special bottle of Red Wine that we had been keeping back and quietly celebrate as the workmen continued to make us secure, was the most overwhelming moment of our home improvements and to receive the huge hug of congratulations from our son, who I’ve been working to earn this trip for, was priceless. He is sure going to be one very lucky little boy to experience all the adventures we have before us.
Seriously, a massive thank you from the bottom of my heart. In the past few weeks, when I announced that I was on the final run, I received some of the nicest of comments and well wishes to help spur me on. Orders came flooding in, followed by … “Did that help”? emails … These comments and all of your support, won’t ever be forgotten.
