It’s the Creation Station Blog Hop and this month we are showcasing In Color Collection Creations for you. If you’ve started the hop here, then you’re in for a real treat and if you’ve hopped on over from the lovely Sara Langland, then you’ll have already been spoilt to some fabulous inspiration. Either way … Welcome.
Every year Stampin’ Up! add Five additional colours to the offering to help freshen up our colour palette and ensure that we are up with current trends. The colours last for a 2 year period, so as one set of five depart, another lovely new set arrive. Some are well received and some not so, but believe me … you soon warm to love them even if not entirely sure in the beginning.
This year, there hasn’t been one single colour that I’ve had to warm to. They have all become close friends from the off set.
Meet the New In color Collection
From top to bottom:
Fresh Fig
Berry Burst
Powder Pink
Lemon Lime Twist
Tranquil Tide
This sentiment made me smile, as colours really do become a great friend to us. We all have a firm favourite that we warm to and for me this year, it’s the punch of Lemon Lime Twist. On it’s own, this colour may not be your favourite, but coupled with a deep Navy, like Night of Navy or the freshness of Pool Party and it adds a certain something.
I love how Stampin’ Up! bring out a range in the new In colors for us to enjoy using. Their coordination is just fabulous. The Cardstock matches the Designer Series Paper, that matches the Ribbon, the felt bow embellishments and the ink. The guess work is taken out of it all for you. The coordination really is Stampin’ Up!s unique selling point.
Here I have used the Lovely Inside and Out Bundle to create this selection of cards. I have die cut the word friend from Watercolor paper and created an ombre effect with the Ink Pads and an Aqua Painter.
These cards aren’t complicated, but the coordination and colours really are doing all the singing, so they don’t have a need for being overly fussy.
I hope you’ve liked my share with you today and that you’ll enjoy the rest of the hop. I’d love to hear what new In color is your favourite. Hop on over now to see what the very talented Valerie Moody has to share with you today … she is next in line with the hop.
