A warm welcome to this month’s Stamping Sunday Blog Hop, where this month we showcase the beautiful Color Theory Suite from the New Annual Catalogue for you.
The Color Theory suite offers a mix of bold and muted colours for all seasons, but loving soft colours as I do, I couldn’t not make use of the softer shades. These papers were based on various paint effects and colour swatches from your DIY store.
Here I’ve used the crackle paint effect, which is beautifully soft and so effective. I absolutely love it and wish it came in more soft colours.
This soft Old Olive paper is just adorable and I felt that a soft Pink would compliment it beautifully. The new Powder Pink In Color did just the job.
Its just dawned on me how similar these colours are to my new Logo and Blog Branding.
I couldn’t help but think of a Sympathy Card when I saw this calming image of blossom. Sympathy cards aren’t something I make and keep in, but ‘Thinking of you’ cards, have a multitude of reasons.
I wanted to make a little 3D item to coordinate with this card and came up with this little treat holder. Isn’t it cute?! It’s only small and made from a 6 x 6 piece of Designer Series Paper.
What’s in this suite?
In these projects I have used the Designer Series Paper, the Colourful Seasons Stamp set and Seasonal Layers Thinlit Dies, the beautiful 1cm Mini Chevron Ribbon in Old Olive and the gorgeous Glitter Enamel Dots, which come in four colours and several sizes. Subtle shimmer, with a pop of colour … I love them.
Well I hope you like what I’ve shared with you today and you can see beyond the bold colours to the softer shades if these appeal to you more. Do make sure you hop around to see what the rest of the Design Team have on offer for you. Enjoy what’s left of the weekend.
