It has been slow going here at The Crafty oINK Pen these past few weeks, with Home Improvements taking place. These Home Improvements were not something that we’d planned for, more something that we’d discovered was needed and so started immediate improvements to put right, what was wrong.
Having renovated a home myself before, I had forgotten just how much time can be taken up with discussing plans with builders, choosing paint colours and generally acting as Project Manager … and all when I should be prepping for a big event. It also doesn’t help that our home is all open plan, so it affects four living spaces in one.
Taking myself off to the Craft Room at the end of our garden, I set to making some simple cards to accompany some Recognition Gifts for my Team. I needed something quick, simple, yet effective and mixed together some simple die cut shapes, with a simple little sentiment. The last thing I wanted was to be interrupted and the cards not get finished.
I adore these leaves from the Flourish Thinlits set that I coupled with the sentiment from Beautiful You. Simple, yet effective and sometimes, less is more.
I can not tell you just how useful the Stitched Shape Framelits are. They are probably my most used Framelits of all time and well worth adding to your collection. I loved this little sentiment, as indeed I am so happy for all of my team for their achievements. It’s wonderful to see how people grow and what they achieve. For me though, it’s back to paint colours for now.
Just how many White’s can there be?
There was me thinking that making a decision on a shade of white would be easy, but oh no. Who’d have thought there could possibly be so many? A decision is needed by the morning, so I feel sure I won’t be parted from these for the next 24 hours. Wish me luck.
Next week this living space will get a whole lot busier, so wish me luck not only in the colour choice, but getting through next week’s bedlam.
