How excited and honoured do I feel to have been invited by Kylie Bertucci from Australia to Hop with her and her Team, The Crazy Crafters?!
The Hop is basically her Team … made up of some amazingly talented crafters, all CASE’ing my work and sharing their take on my projects … (CASEing is to Copy and Selectively Edit) I can’t wait to see what they have each chosen and why.
CASE’ING MYSELF
What project was I going to choose to case of my own? This was what I decided upon …
… and one card in particular.
I really enjoyed playing with the Sunshine Saying Bundle last time and these simple, yet effective layouts last time and thought I’d use it again for this card.
This time I used Sahara Sand as the base card colour and wanted a pop of sunshine to give this cake some lift. I decided to once again use the Playful Backgrounds stamp set to add the stripes behind the cupcake and use some bright vibrant colours to stand out before it.
mmm I don’t eat them often, but I do like a nice cupcake from time to time and happiness is exactly what it would bring.
I love the Sweet Cupcake bundle and haven’t used it anywhere near enough, so decided to replicate my former card using it. I think it’s worked quite well and it’s certainly cheerful.
Now lets see what Kylie and the other Crazy Crafters have decided to CASE of mine and what they have come up with. I wonder if any chose this card to case also?

Mikaela I adore your porjects and this layout. It is so simple and so very effective. I strugle with white areas lol, I always want to fill!

The cupcake is done beautifully. May I ask the colors you used for it? I have that set and I sort of struggle with it.
Yes of course … I used Pink Pirouette for two of the topping layers and Flirty Flamingo for the darkest. Then I used Sahara Sand, again for two of the three image layers and Chocolate Chip for the darkest. I hope that helps. I have just added a couple of pins to my 'Tips and Tutorials' Pinterest Board that you might find useful. I looked at these a while back to get a feel for what shades to use that would work. Enjoy playing and I hope you master what you'll be happy with x
