I never thought I’d see the day, when I’d be making a Get Well card for a furry feline friend, but sadly for a little while now a dear friend’s cat has been somewhat poorly.
I believe that our pets are not just pets, but are quite simply members of our family and therefore when dear Smudger was diagnosed a Diabetic following a period of very ill health, I felt a suitable little card was needed.
I love the script from the stamp ‘Get Well Soup’ its just so gorgeous that I inked this up and coupled it with a watercolour wash and the fish from ‘Bear Hugs’.
A wash of clear Wink of Stella over the scales of the fish and bingo … we have a Get Well card fit for any poorly cat.
Thankfully, the gorgeous Smudger has been responding well to his medication and yesterday took his first nap out in the sunshine. He is starting to make some positive improvements and liked his card that arrived yesterday.
It not only helped to cheer him up, but it helped put a smile on his worried mummy’s face.
