Last night saw my last class of Birthday Blooms and a class that appeared to be very popular with my ladies.
A spot of Heat Embossing reminded them of traditional Stampin’, coupled with a spot of colouring. A real time to switch off and chillax. Adult colouring has become very popular, so blender pens are just perfect for doing just that.
I made some cute little table favours using the Envelope Punch Board and the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper. I so love the colour, Mint Macarron … it beautifully compliments the amount of Pink in this ensemble.
This first card was a happy mistake, in that I’d previously stamped with a black ink and clearly hadn’t cleaned it properly, before stamping again with Whisper White.
The few spots of black ink that remained, just highlighted the flowers all the more, but in a beautifully subtle way. It was very hard to recreate this happy mistake again mind.
I just love the subtle tones that the vellum helps to create.
He did a spot of Heat Embossing on this second card, having stamped on Shimmer Cardstock, which adds a beautiful sheen.
The one thing that I loved about this class, was how no flower created, looked the same. The strength of colour was achieved by each lady … some very soft in shade and others strong … and all looked equally beautiful.
I’d not really used the Baker’s Box Die much, so decided to simply stamp and embellish it to create this gorgeous little gift box, that’s a super size for a small gift of truffles or similar.
The variety of textures used in this class, ranged from shimmering cardstock to glitter paper, sequins, wooden pegs and vellum …. a real textural experience.
