Stampin’ Creative Autumn/Winter Sneak Peek

August 29, 2015 by Mikaela Titheridge 12 Comments

This month we are sharing a few Seasonal Sneak Peeks from the soon to launch, Autumn/Winter Seasonal Catalogue.

Yes, as of 1st September, you too can be ordering the gorgeous Stampin’ Up! products that you’ll see us share throughout this Blog Hop … and I’m sure you’ll have seen some gorgeous makes by now if you’ve arrived here from the lovely Emily’s blog and others before her.

For me … being a firm lover of Christmas, I had to come up with a Contemporary style Christmas Card, that I thoroughly enjoyed creating.

Loving nature as I do, I just fell in love with the Wonderland Stamp Set and the Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

I wanted something a little different … something away from the Traditional Red, Gold and Green (not that there is anything wrong with this combination) … and this was what I came up with.

The twiggy wreath behind the sentiment is made from the Builder Tree Punch. I love the effectiveness that this created and you could say that it’s a whole load of antlers depending upon how you look and interpret it. I know that many will find the antlers hard to use, but I just love the simplicity of them and equally the masculine feel that they offer.

I surprised myself with my decision to use Gold Foil Cardstock in circular splashes behind the sentiment. I’m not a lover of gold at all, but I really felt that the discs of gold, gave a warm gentle pop and highlight to what was quite an otherwise matt looking card. This is a great way of using up quite literally scraps of Gold Foil and tied in nicely with the gold spot Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum that sits across the bottom of the card.

This cute little gift package, is made using the gorgeous new Square Pillowbox Thinlits Die. It’s a square box, as opposed to the former Pillowbox die that we once offered. It’s a very usable size for little gifts and again I simply embellished it with Gold Cording Trim and the same sentiment to tie in with the card.

I hope you like what I’ve shared and you see the Antlers in a whole different light now.

Be sure to check out the new Seasonal Catalogue on the Demonstrator website and draw up your wish list in preparation for the 1st September launch day. Check back here and I’ll be posting a new Hostess Code at the top of my blog especially for these early orders. Assign this code at check out to any qualifying order to receive a gift from me in the post. You would be wise to order early to avoid disappointment, as its a cracker of a catalogue.

Thank you Emily, I really wanted a muted combination, but equally something that gave a pop of colour.

Elizabeth, thank you so much for drawing it to my attention that I don't have a Pinterest link on my Blog. I guess it's because our computer adds a little red P to all photos, so have presumed you see the same. I shall endeavour to change this … but for the time being, you can find my Pinterest Boards here:https://www.pinterest.com/craftyoinkpen/ I'm so pleased that you liked this share enough to want to Pin.

Aww thank you Lesley …. If there's one word I could send back about making it … it would be 'Fun' xx

I so surprised myself Eimear with the Gold splashes. I really am not one for Gold, more silver, but it just seemed to work and give it a warm glowing lift.

    xx

awww Thank you so much artfulstampin. It took a bit of punching, but a great way to use up scraps. I'm so pleased that you like it. Many thanks for stopping by and leaving me a message x

Thank you so much Pip … Yes, that's the White Gel Pen I've used to do that. Everyone sees the Tree Punches differently. I've had some say they see branches and others antlers … either way it works x
